เนื้อเรื่องของ Fantasian เป็นเรื่องของตัวเอก Leo ที่สูญเสียความทรงจำ และต้องผจญภัยในโลกจักรกล รูปแบบเกมเพลย์เป็น turn-based RPG แบบดั้งเดิม แต่มีระบบ "ขัง" มอนสเตอร์ไว้ชั่วคราวในมิติ Dimengeon ทำให้ไม่ต้องสู้กับศัตรูในแผนที่ แต่ถ้าขังศัตรูไปถึงระดับหนึ่งแล้วก็ต้องกลับมาสู้กับศัตรูที่เคยขังไว้ทั้งหมด
เกมเวอร์ชัน Neo Dimension เพิ่มเสียงพากย์ทั้งญี่ปุ่นและอังกฤษ อัพเกรดกราฟิกเป็น 4K และมีโหมดความยากระดับ normal ให้เลือก (เวอร์ชันเดิมคือความยากเกินไปจนคนเล่นไม่ผ่านกัน)
